Preschool Packet

The Learn Reading Preschool Packet is designed to prepare a student for reading readiness and success in the Learn Reading program.

The Learn Reading program introduces letters and sounds (graphemes and phonemes) in frequency order – determined by how often they occur in everyday English print.

This unique and sequential format prepares students to read in the real world quickly and accurately, without guessing and without fear.

The 5 weekly lessons in this packet are organized using the same frequency-of-use model. The 5 graphemes taught are the 5 most common graphemes in everyday print. They are also the 5 graphemes taught in Lesson 1 of the full Learn Reading curriculum.

Upon completion of this 5-week program, students should be prepared to begin Lesson 1 in the Learn Reading Membership - and be successful!

They will then be on their way to becoming stellar readers!

Each lesson is packed with essential work in developing the foundations of reading as well as deeper application skills. These essential pre-reading skills are embedded in visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile activities appropriate and appealing to preschool age children.

Your student will be building ESSENTIAL skills and have FUN doing it!
